Leaving On A Jet Plane!!

Its finally here. I leave in forty minutes for the airport and by 1:30 this afternoon I'll be well on my way to the far side of the world!! I'm flying over with another student and we have reservations at a hostel for tomorrow night in London. Tonight, however, will be spent in an airplane somewhere over the Atlantic.

I'm not really nervous at all, I'm just ready to be there. My sister did manage to give me a small panic attack while trying to explain the intricate workings of a BritRail Pass. Fortunately though we made the discovery that there are websites that allow you to plan out trips and tells you which train to catch. What would the world be like without the internet?

Well I guess that's it for now. All I have to do is make it on the flight and at this point everything else is just details.

Wish me luck. I'll see you on the other side of the world!!

Dad and I have been tracking your flights this afternoon on the internet. It's 7:12 CDT and you're at 37,000 feet and due east of Bangor, Maine. You'll be turning 21 in just a few more miles.

I enjoyed meeting Alexandria and her family at the airport. It's amazing how much you two girls have in common. Hope you were able to sit together on your flights.

Have a wonderful time, stay safe, and write often.

Love ya!

You made it to the other side! The flight tracker shows you all landed at 6:36 am London time. The forecast for London your first day there is 78 degrees, a heat wave by their standards, so you will enjoy that. I enjoyed meeting Alexandria and her entire family, they are all wonderful and I'm glad you got to make the trip over with her.

Love,

Dad
